WHAT IS YOUR MUSICAL REPERTOIRE?
All Jewish music from 1900 to the current day, including Yeshivish, Chassidish, Carlebach, Sephardi, Chabad, and Klezmer; plus Israeli, English and instrumental standards. My repertoire also includes the cutting-edge latest in Chassidic/Yeshivish music from the most recent popular albums and songs being played at simchas in Israel and the tri-State area.
Can YOU ACCOMMODATE MY MUSICAL REQUESTS AND SPECIAL PLANS AT MY SIMCHA?
Absolutely. I will work with you every step of the way before and during your event to make sure that the music is customized and tailored to fit your style and musical preferences.
CAN I HIRE YOU ALONG WITH A SINGER OF MY CHOICE?
Absolutely. I have worked and continue to work with many well-recognized singers in the Jewish music world (See Gallery). As a trained musician who works both as a one-man-band and band keyboardist and leader, singers with whom I have worked enjoy working with me and find it to be very similar to what they are used to.
DO YOU TRAVEL TO EVENTS OUTSIDE OF BALTIMORE?
In the past, I routinely traveled to play events outside of Maryland and around the U.S. Currently, my availability for out-of-town travel might be limited given my other obligations, but if available, my travel prices are reasonable and much lower in comparison to keyboardists and one-man-bands from the Tri-State area.
DO YOU PLAY AT EVENTS WITH no gender-separated dancing (a.k.a. "MIXED DANCING")?
If you are planning to have mixed dancing at your event, I can play the event; however, in accordance with halachic authority, I cannot provide musical entertainment for the planned (or unplanned) dancing with no gender separation.
DOES THE TIME PERIOD FOR WHICH YOU’RE HIRED INCLUDE THE TIME TO SET UP AND TAKE DOWN?
No – the time period for which I’m hired is the time I’m playing music plus breaks. To illustrate, if you hire me from 6 to 9 PM, I will arrive some time in advance to set up, start playing at 6 PM, and finish playing at 9 PM.
SORRY FOR getting all TECHNICAL, BUT WHERE DID YOU OBTAIN THE BACKING ACCOMPANIMENT ON YOUR KEYBOARD, and what keyboard do you use?
Every bit of accompaniment heard on my demos was painstakingly programmed by me. I currently use a Korg PA4x v2. Upon request, I can pair it with a Korg Krome, Roland XP-60, or Yamaha DX7.
